Champions League: Group B

European Royalty is on display in Group B as Real Madrid and Inter Milan facing against Borussia Mönchengladbach and Shakhtar Donetsk.

These will be important fixtures for Antonio Conte and Zinedine Zidane with both looking to shake off any previous shortcomings. Marco Rose at Gladbach, however, could be looking like surprise bet for to qualify.

7 years ago, on a warm evening in West London, Bayern Munich won an all-German Champions League final against a team that finished second to them in virtually every competition that season. It was Bayern’s second trophy of what would go on to become a quintuple winning 2013. It was also the year that the rivalry between them and Borussia Dortmund really peaked.

UCL Preview: Manchester City vs Real Madrid

Last season’s record breaking Premier League winners finished the year in third place. Manchester City sit 14 points off of the leaders, having already lost more games this season than they did in the year prior. With the league firmly lost, a Champions League trophy would be one of the better consolations. Real Madrid, however, ended their year just two points off Barcelona. The Cristiano Ronaldo chapter appears to have finally ended and Zinedine Zidane can begin working towards a prosperous future. In their competition, Madrid face a team that will leave everything on the field.

UCL Group A: What To Expect

The Road to Istanbul (not Constantinople) began yesterday even though it actually began back in June for a number of teams. The Champions League Group Stage draw took place in Monaco yesterday afternoon and the fairly decided fixtures are shaping up to deliver some excellent matches.
